Is mission mein uski bacchiyan, uske wafadar Minions aur ek naye, energetic agent Lucy Wilde uski poori madad karte hain. Kahani mein twist tab aata hai jab koi ek-ek karke Gru ke saare Minions ko kidnap karke unhe ek ajeeb dava se khatarnak baingani (purple) monsters mein badal deta hai. Ab Gru aur uski nayi partner Lucy ko milkar un badle hue Minions ko theek karna hai aur duniya ko El Macho ke tabahi wale plan se bachana hai.
